Vic City Driving School Ltd. Policies

As a Student driver of Vic City Driving School, I have read and agree to the following terms:

  1. I am physically, mentally, and emotionally fit to undertake the driving lessons, and that my present driver’s license is valid for driving in BC, Canada for the duration of my driving lessons.
  2. Vic City Driving School is providing the service of driving lessons under the BC Laws and with professionally qualified driving instructors. These services provided by Vic City Driving School do not include the Road Tests that I shall be undertaking at any stage of these trainings.
  3. I declare that I hold harmless Vic City Driving School, its directors, shareholders, their heirs, employees, and contractors of and from all claims, demand, losses, causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgments, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or relating to any disputes arising out of any lawfully provided services.
  4. All lessons will be individual, one on one unless otherwise both parties agree between  instructor and student for additional persons being in the vehicle, and their reason  for attending the lesson. There will be a maximum of three people. (Observing only during the lesson time.)

Fees

  • Class 4 (Restricted) Automatic, 2 hours – $145 (+GST)
  • Class 5/7 Automatic, 1-hour driving lesson – $75 (+GST)
  • Class 5/7 Automatic, 90 minutes driving lesson – $105(+GST)
  • Class 5/7 Automatic, 2 hours road test – $180 (+GST)
  • Class 4 (Restricted) Automatic, 2 hours & 30 minutes – $220 (+GST)
  • Class 5/7 Automatic, Car Rental for road test, 1 hour – $120 (+GST)

The amount of practice time students will receive during the   60-minute Practical Practice lesson is 55 minutes, with five minutes of debriefing and theory: 90 Lessons, 80 minutes of Practical Practice, and 10 Minutes of debriefing and theory of Driving. 

* add $15 (+GST) to each lesson for Saanichton lessons.
* ICBC Road test and licensing fees are not included. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Cancellations

To cancel the lesson, please give us a notice within 48 hours, otherwise, a cancellation fee of $30 will be assessed. Same day or last minute cancellation will cost full lesson fee or you will lose the lesson.

Note: For canceling a road test appointment made by Vic City Driving School LTD, We require 72 hours of notice, as we must notify ICBC. Failure to give Vic City Driving School LTD sufficient notice may result in the student additional $25 road test cancellation fee to ICBC.

Late

If you are within 15 minutes late, you will receive the balance of your scheduled lesson and charge for the full lesson. If you are late beyond 15 Minutes, the instructor will leave and you will be considered as a ‘NO SHOW’ lesson (no refund or reschedule for that lesson).

Refunds

  • There will be no refund for driving lessons or road test sessions that have taken place.
  • Refunds will be paid for the unused lesson(s) provided notice is received by the Vic City Driving School LTD, 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson(s). The cancellation fee will apply to refunds requested within 48 hours of a scheduled lesson.
  • Processing fees of $20 will be applied on any refund.

Requirements and Procedures

  • Student must provide a valid BC Learners Drivers License before any lesson.
  • All students have to be registered and paid in advance and no later than the first lesson.
  • Vic City Driving School LTD, may cancel your scheduled appointment for any unforeseen circumstances. For example, instructor being sick, car breaking down, or poor road conditions. Students will be notified as soon as possible. The lesson will be rescheduled.
  • Vic City Driving School LTD can cancel your lesson with NO refunds if the student is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or using foul, abusive, or aggressive language.
  • If a student cause a crash and found at fault by ICBC then deductible amount as per Insurance Policy will have to be paid by the student.
  • Student must be dressed appropriately and wear proper footwear (no heels).
  • Any remaining fees owed to the driving school MUST be paid prior to the road test.
  • NOTICE: This session will be under surveillance and recorded for the safety of the Student and Instructor for the liability and insurances purposes.
